On September 15, Prof. Maximiliano Amici welcomed the Suzhou Symphony Quartet to the DKU campus for a string quartet concert held at the DKU Visitors Center. The event, supported by the Division of Arts and Humanities and the Suzhou Symphony, marked an important step in the developing collaboration between DKU and one of Jiangsu’s leading cultural institutions.

The Suzhou Symphony Quartet performed a diverse and engaging program that showcased classical repertoire. The ensemble’s artistry and precision captivated the DKU audience, offering a rich musical experience. It highlighted not only the exceptional musicianship of the Suzhou Symphony Quartet but also DKU’s dedication to fostering meaningful collaborations that bring art, culture and community engagement together on campus.

As part of this ongoing collaboration, DKU’s chamber groups and orchestra will join forces with the Suzhou Youth Symphony for a co-concert on November 23 at the CCTE. This upcoming performance will further deepen the partnership, providing students and local musicians an opportunity to perform together and learn from one another.
