Synopsis

They are children of the stars, born into ordinary families, yet they are also the special you. The Special You delves into the lives of three children with autism and their families, shining a light on the unwavering strength of their mothers and illuminating the challenges this community confronts in the modern world.

-Cheng Rui, a young autistic artist, struggles with communication and emotional regulation. After his father’s tragic death, his mother dedicates herself to his care and plans an art exhibit to showcase his talent.

-Keke, a nonverbal girl who can only say “mama,” exhibits emotional and repetitive behavior challenges. Her parents are committed to teaching her independence to prepare for a future when they are gone.

-Wang Junli, an autistic teenager with limited communication and social skills, faces family conflict resulting in his parents’ divorce. His parents reunite with the aim of helping him find work, but his father dies just as improvements are seen.
